Will Autumn Leaves take care of my loved one's laundry?
At Autumn Leaves we wash your loved one's personal laundry, bed linens and any other laundry needed. Anti-bacterial laundry detergent and fabric softener are used. We fold and return completed laundry to each resident's room.
Is housekeeping assistance provided to the residents of Autumn Leaves?
We have a full time housekeeper who cleans the entire facility including dusting, vacuuming and cleaning each resident's bedroom and bathroom and making the bed. Our caregivers on staff do not do housekeeping.
Can I count on Autumn Leaves to make sure that my mother eats and is there someone available to assist her if needed?
Dietary aides are available to serve or assist your loved one with meals. In addition, we have a full time dietary manager who prepares 3 meals per day including specialty diets and has snacks available 24 hours per day. Our licensed dietician assesses each resident monthly monitoring weight loss or gain. In addition, our dietary aides serve and clean.
What can you tell me about your staff and the services they provide?
Our staff includes a full time RN, LVNs, and caregivers who have completed 40 hours of dementia specific training. These individuals perform the following services on a daily basis:
- Disperse and monitor medications
- Communicate with the pharmacy on reordering medications
- Monitor vital signs daily
- Communicate with the family physician and his/her staff
- Determine a daily care plan for your loved one and communicate that care plan with family members
- Assist with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, mobility, meals, and all other activities of daily living
What activities are available and who develops them?
We have a full time enrichment coordinator on our management team who plans activities for the month in advance. The special interests of every resident is taken into consideration. A variety of daily activities are available in addition to planned events on special occasions. Every effort is taken to encourage your loved one to participate.
How many residents do you accept?
Autumn Leaves offers a secure environment for 40 individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other related forms of dementia.
What can you tell me about the layout of Autumn Leaves?
In addition to residents' rooms which are divided into four different neighborhoods, we have a library, game room, entertainment room, green house, hobbies and crafts room, dining rooms, private dining room, and several secure outside patios with walking areas and a gazebo.
Are the living spaces attractive and comfortable?
We offer both private and semi-private rooms with bathrooms in all rooms. Pull cords are in all bedrooms and bathrooms. All of our rooms are carpeted and spacious, with a variety of sizes of rooms available. You are welcome to bring your own furniture if you like or we can provide furniture for you.
